微软已经承认说6801只是一个功能不完善的版本

据PDC2008会议的SEVEN介绍人说，6801只是一个功能缺陷的版本（连beta版都不是，包括大会上预览的6933版也不算真正的beta版），该版本为在场用户发行了硬盘版，只是为了让用户初识SEVEN的雏形，当然要让在场的用户了解一下自己所得到的6801与演示版的6933的差别，6933已经在功能和使用性上比6801提高了30%的性能及完整性。
   如此看来，目前这个6801确实不值得安装，即使装了也无所谓，让我们先睹新系统的初级风采，所说6933在诸多地方进行了改造修复，比6801好了不少。
   现在对6801的讨论看来言实过早，我们一起期待吧，我绝对相信beta1版将会有比较全面的更新。
   我们知道，按照微软的惯例，新的系统只有在beta1的时候才会有着基本的成型UI及系统模型，一般在beta2的时候才会各方面全方位的改进，在beta2阶段的操作系统，将会基本定型，就是说，到了最终的RTM除了部分地方代码优化外，不会做很大的变化了。看来，现在的6801只是微软吊我们胃口的一个半成品东西。过早的评论6801确实不足以说明windows seven的性能及开发成果。
   让我们等RTM出现吧，只有这样，我们才能真正的了解到seven的全部！
